# Limitations

We maintain various cloud service resources needed for translating texts in the background, which are not free, so the plugin will have some limitations when using it.

* Each device can translate 1W characters per month for free, and it will be reset automatically next month. The time is counted from the first use of the plugin.
* Specifying a translation provider requires an API subscription.
* Specifying the use of Google will consume the real character count \*2 of the available credit.
* Specifying the use of DeepL will consume the available credit for the number of real characters \* 4.
